Ahmad Ameen is a scriptwriter, cultural manager and researcher in the history Arab Cinema. He is the founder of the Arab Film Archive project, a nonprofit initiative to collect and digitize Arabic classics, making them accessible to students and academic sector for research and educational purposes: www.arabfilmarchive
In 2009, Ahmad wrote his first feature screenplay Transit Cities (2010, Mohammad Hushki) which was produced by the Royal Film Commission in Jordan and premiered at the Dubai Film Festival, where it won two awards for 2nd best feature and the International Critics Association (FIPRESCI) choice. In 2011, Ahmad wrote his 2nd screenplay entitled "A Few Days in Syria" which won a development grant from the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture, and was part of the Med Film Factory training program.
From 2013 until 2017, Ahmad wrote and co-produced a weekly cinema show for Al Arabiya news channel. He teaches screenwriting and Arab cinema and is currently managing Cinema Zaatari, Jordan.
